Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless and odourless toxic gas that may be yielded from engine exhalation or from badly maintained compressor filters. If inhaled/breathed ,it bonds with blood haemoglobin affecting the oxygen transport to the body tissues. Carbon Monoxide poisoning is extremely dangerous and can only be treated with immediate medical care and could even lead to death.
Before diving, DE-OX® SAFE is able to analyse the carbon monoxide content in every breathable gas mix, including air. It can also be connected to the gas compressor for continuous reading whilst .....
DE-OX® SAFE also assures safe diving with air. It is simple to use and allows the user to personally check if the gas mix or air is carbon monoxide free. It is an essential tool for diving centre when checking the compressor air inlet, and for divers during dive trips overseas.
DE-OX® SAFE is based on a state-of-the-art carbon monoxide electrochemical sensor that does not require any periodical calibration. It is a full digital measurement instrument with two visible and audible alarms if carbon monoxide value is over the set values. It is possible to replace the carbon monoxide sensor without any factory assistance. The instrument is able to read 15 ppm (parts per million), in compliancy with the EN 12021 norm.
